Newark Academy has been named the top online education provider for Australian children, according to a new study by the Australian Institute of Educational Technology (AIFET).
Key points:The study found that Newark academy is Australia’s top online academy provider for children aged 7-12The academy has more than 200,000 students in more than 130 countries, with more than 80% of its students enrolled in NSW and VictoriaThe academy also offers full online programs in more states than any other providerThe study also found that while Newark has the highest rate of online enrolment, there is a huge disparity in the quality of online learning and the success of the curriculum.
“Newark Academy is Australia and New Zealand’s leading online learning platform, providing a unique range of programs and learning experiences for students across the country, with an emphasis on high quality learning and personalized learning,” said Associate Professor Matt Kew, Associate Professor of Computing at AIFET.
“The academy’s students have access to more than 140 languages, with a range of learning materials, including the latest computer-aided design (CAD) and robotics software.”
Students can choose from a range the academy offers across a wide range of subjects and the academy has a high proportion of first-time students and those who are still learning.
“While Newark’s online programs are highly targeted, there are a variety of ways to get to know the curriculum and the learning experience offered at Newark.”
This study is a useful indicator of the success Newark is achieving in its digital learning program.
“Our aim was to find out which program offered the best outcomes for students and the best value for money.”
In doing so, we found that online education offers the best learning experiences and the most affordable way to get the best possible outcomes from online learning.
“The findings are further evidence of the effectiveness of online education in Australia, with the results clearly showing the value of online programs.”
